Manny Sandhu founded Sandhu Design and Drafting Ltd. after recognizing a gap between visionary ideas and the practical realities of planning and construction. With over two decades of experience on both sides of the permit counter, Manny knows what it takes to bring a project to life.
Before his municipal service, Manny spent a decade honing his craft in architectural design, real estate development and building envelope engineering. This foundation allowed him to approach projects holistically – from conceptual design and feasibility studies through to detailed construction drawings and on‑site coordination.
For ten years, he then served as a Residential Plan Checker and Building Inspector for the City of Burnaby, where he developed an intimate understanding of building codes, zoning bylaws and municipal processes. He reviewed hundreds of permit applications and collaborated with architects, engineers and homeowners to ensure designs met regulatory requirements without compromising aesthetics.
Today, Sandhu Design and Drafting Ltd. serves clients throughout Metro Vancouver. Manny leads a collaborative team committed to delivering thoughtful design solutions that respect budgets, timelines and the environment.
